23 private wells now contaminated with gasoline in Town of Jackson

Two additional private wells have been contaminated with gasoline in the Town of Jackson, according to a news release Friday evening from the West Shore Pipe Line company.

The company said 243 private wells have been tested and elements of benzene were found in 23 wells.  Additionally, 18 of those wells detected levels of benzene at or above the federal safe drinking water standard
