At least six Wisconsin nursing home residents have died and more than 1,000 residents and nearly 500 staff members have become ill from gastrointestinal illnesses in the past three years – partly because staff failed to control the spread of highly contagious diseases such as norovirus, according to a new online database based on government inspection reports.
