Fired cop complains about Police and Fire Commission

Daniel Vidmar was fired in January 2014 for three violations related to removing a bicycle that he intended to give his son from police inventory and forging some records about it. Vidmar appealed his dismissal to the Fire and Police Commission.

In June, after two evidentiary sessions, the FPC dismissed one of the charges, but found probable cause for two others, imposing a 60 day suspension for one, and upholding Chief Edward Flynn’s termination on the third violation.  Vidmar appealed to circuit court, and the case is pending.
