According to the sheriff’s department, the deputy was filling up his squad car with gas when a car driven by Brian Hunt, 49, of Janesville attempted to turn into the gas station parking lot. Deputies said he missed the driveway, then drove through a ditch to get access to the gas station parking lot and pulled into a stall. The sheriff’s department said the deputy made contact with Hunt, and smelled intoxicants on his breath. Hunt failed field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested, according to the sheriff’s department.
