The Journal Sentinel’s Daniel Bice reported in August that Hulsey had spent campaign funds to buy an old convertible and to register for a triathlon.
Hulsey also pleaded no contest last month to disorderly conduct for flipping a 9-year-old boy, whom he did not know, off his inner tube while both were swimming on July 4 at a Madison beach.
