Mary Jo Walters of Madison, a liberal activist who describes herself as an “independent Green Democrat,” is running in the Aug. 12 primary for lieutenant governor against state Sen. John Lehman (D-Racine).
Dane County Circuit Court Judge Nicholas McNamara granted the one-year restraining order in November 2012, court records show. The order, which Walters unsuccessfully contested, included a firearm restriction.
