Blizzard shuts down much of southern Wisconsin

Powered by wind gusts of 50 miles per hour and more than a foot of snow in some areas, a historic blizzard stranded dozens of motorists and shut down much of southern Wisconsin early Wednesday, closing schools, businesses, shopping malls, government offices, as well as canceling flights and leaving some Super Bowl-bound Packers fans stuck in the state for at least another day.
