All in all, a strong start. The enthusiasm I felt in Waukesha was real. Scott Walker has the good looks, stage presence (he announced wearing a plain shirt on an unadorned dais), and passionate speaking style to deliver the goods. He’s got conservative street cred on taxes, voter ID, traditional marriage, opposition to Common Core, abortion, and reducing government.
