Journal Sentinel: Jobs must be Job One

If Wisconsin residents needed any more evidence of the harm caused by job loss and recession, they can find it in a new report from the Annie E. Casey Foundation. The foundation says that the percentage of kids living in poverty in the state increased by 42% from 2000 to 2009. As of 2009, 17% of Wisconsin children were living below the poverty line, up from 12% in 2000.
