Losing the mascot war

Snyder is the latest example of a discriminatory attitude in professional sports. Ultimately he is going to lose because so much heat has been generated by members of Congress, the sports press and fans that it will be impossible for him to go forward as if the name Redskins is not racist. From the so-called tomahawk chop when Jane Fonda and Ted Turner were in the stands at Atlanta Braves baseball games to Snyder’s refusal to give up the name Redskins, Native Americans have been discriminated against by those who run our sports leagues. It’s time for Snyder to join the American mainstream. No player wants to play under the banner of racism!
