The award recognizes team’s problem solving in ongoing efforts to put an end to two decades of behaviors that have kept many people from enjoying the park. Those efforts have included design changes to make the park less attractive for illegitimate use and to improve the perception of safety, along with family-oriented activities offering entertainment and education.
