Thieving daycare provider gets 14 months

The woman who built a 7,600-square-foot mansion in Menomonee Falls and bought a Jaguar convertible while collecting millions in taxpayer subsidies from her Milwaukee child care center was sentenced to 14 months in federal prison Friday.

Latasha Jackson Wilder, 35, who now lives in Houston, pleaded guilty in May to wire fraud, conspiracy and theft of public funds.
