ATF tries to keep a whistleblower quiet

First he can’t publish, now he can do so only without remuneration:

ATF Agent John Dodson, who was in the middle of the agency’s Operation Fast and Furious, wants to publish a book about it, but agency bosses say no, the Washington Post reported this week.

According to a rejection letter given to Dodson and obtained by the Post, “This would have a negative impact on morale in the Phoenix [field division] and would have a detremental [sic] effect on our relationships with [the Drug Enforcement Administration] and FBI.”

But now a spokeswoman with the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is saying Dodson isn’t barred from publishing — he just cannot make any money off of it.
