Attorneys set deadline for child-abuse lawsuit against Appleton school district

Lawyers representing the families of six children say they still haven’t heard from the district about whether it plans to discuss civil rights claims made by the parents of cognitively disabled children who were abused by a former teacher. The families deserve compensation, and “we also need to make sure the district’s administrators are held accountable,” said attorney Jeffrey Spitzer-Resnick, who represents five families.
