An elderly Caledonia woman contends she saw a cougar over the weekend, but the DNR isn’t so positive:
“We didn’t see the animal,” Lizotte said. “There were no tracks, scat or hair. So it doesn’t tell you either way whether it was or wasn’t a cougar…So without a photo, scat or hair – all we have is a visual report.”
