A special prosecutor conducting a public inquest into the death of Derek Williams said Tuesday he may seek medical experts from outside Milwaukee in the case and signaled it may be months before the proceeding begins.
John Franke also said he is in close contact with the U.S. attorney’s office as the FBI conducts a criminal civil rights investigation into Williams’ death. He also is working with investigators from the state Department of Justice.
