Sheboygan man gets 75 days jail for firing gun on toilet

Defense attorney:

“He was completely heartbroken regarding his actions and took responsibility from the very beginning,” she said. “He knows full well what could have happened.”

Criminal complaint:

The complaint said the downstairs neighbor confronted Sippel after the shooting, and Sippel claimed he was drilling into the floor. The neighbor then called police, and officers surrounded the home and evacuated the downstairs residents before entering Sippel’s apartment.

Sippel fled but was found — still armed — walking on nearby Sibley Court, the complaint said. He admitted to firing the gun through the floor.
